About Ace East Publishing

Ace East Publishing is an independent publishing house founded by Michael P. West, based in Northern California. Some titles are Mike's own; many more are written by other authors who publish through Ace East. Every book meets the same simple test: it has to help someone heal, teach someone something true, or give someone a genuine break from a noisy world.

That test comes from experience. Mike spent more than three and a half decades in education — as a science teacher, a coach, an administrator, and ultimately Colusa County Superintendent of Schools — years spent watching teenagers struggle through toxic relationships with no roadmap written for them, in their language. So Ace East's first releases were exactly that: A Teenager's Guide to Recovery from Toxic Relationships and its companion workbook by Jordan Phoenix — books that treat young readers as capable of real healing, not just in need of a lecture.
